Because, of course, having a semi-popular actress as an alumna is more
prestigious than being the site of a Presidential Library. No doubt her
views will carry great weight with the University board. (I meant that
as sarcasm, but considering the highly unwarranted respect many people in
our society give to the opinions of "celebrities," it might be true.) :-(

I wasn't aware that the United Methodist Church practiced excommunication.
However, I left the Methodist church in the '70s because (even back
then) it was becoming too liberal for me, so things might have changed
since then.
