I don't think Hillary has misread anything. I believe that SNL's
Obamagasm sketch that opened its return episode illustrates what the
real problem is. The press and most political junkies are so in love
with the concept of Obama that they just aren't paying attention to
Hillary and moreover, are continuing to buy into the misogynistic
framing of Hillary created by Chris Matthews and other pundits back in
the 90's. It's no wonder that she's throwing everything at the wall
to see what will stick under the circusmtances of the media's
impenetrable framing of the issue.
Head-to-head differences of 10-15% either way (depending on what month
the poll was taken) are insignificant when you take into consideration
that even now approximately 70% of Democratic voters (according to,
IIRC a Gallup poll) would vote for either candidate for president in
the federal election. Democratic voters at large aren't as split
between Obama and Clinton as they appear to be. In actuality, they
aren't really split at ALL.
That makes the primary essentially a personality contest, which IMO
makes it even more im****tant for the media to keep its own personality
preferences OUT of the mix, which they've failed to do.
Also, I looked at the subject line and I thought, this should be one
word: comPARISon. ;)

LORELAI: I am so done with plans. I am never, ever making one again.
It never works. I spend the day obsessing over why it didn't work
and what I could've done differently. I'm analyzing all my shortcomings
when all I really need to be doing is vowing to never, ever make a plan
ever again, which I'm doing now, having once again been the innocent
victim of my own stupid plans. God, I need some coffee.
