Oh god, there are so many things that the NYT writer skews in this
article, I just don't know where to begin. So I'm going to take a day
or two before I go into it.
One thing I'd like to note to everybody is to parse the words of
former Warner exec Jordan Levin's words with a HUGE grain of salt as
HE's the one who didn't get the show's humor and hated the show so
much that 1) he got the Jess spin-off killed and 2) worked to try to
get the show cancelled when it ran into the budget problems at the
start of season 4 that forced Amy to rethink and push back the opening
of the Dragonfly from the beginning of the season to the end of the
season.

LORELAI: I am so done with plans. I am never, ever making one again.
It never works. I spend the day obsessing over why it didn't work
and what I could've done differently. I'm analyzing all my shortcomings
when all I really need to be doing is vowing to never, ever make a plan
ever again, which I'm doing now, having once again been the innocent
victim of my own stupid plans. God, I need some coffee.
