EH is not tied up with GA. His arc was for only three episodes. ASP
is not tied up with Jezebel James -- the show was pre-cancelled after
7 episodes of filming and it's more of a Hail Mary pass than anything
that the episodes are airing at all. SP is not tied up with AIA at
the moment. The show finished filming its 18th episode during the
strike and is done for the season *and* its return is in great doubt.
He will be filming Saw V starting on March 17th (they signed him thru
Saw VI).

Also, LG doing tons of ads is a good sign for Gg, bad sign for the
rest of her career. Ads are great in terms of short-term
pay/residuals but terrible for long-term career goals. She's doing
mostly indie movies now, so as long as she's not signed to another
series, her schedule is far less of an issue than it would otherwise
appear to be. Same with Alexis Bledel.

Even if AIA were renewed, Patterson's schedule wouldn't be as much of
an issue because, like, Patterson is/has not been one of the star
leads on either Gg or AIA. On Gg he's a secondary lead (as is EH) and
on AIA he's, well, a Mrs. Kim-level sup****ting character. If a Gg
movie were to go *during* a filming season for AIA, clearly, AIA would
have "first position" claim on him, but it looks to me like both
series could share him, especially since they're in the same cor****ate
family of studios.

Sean Gunn is a little iffy due to his new role on October Road, but 1)
I don't (and won't) watch the show (four words: Laura. Prepon. Can't.
Act.) and 2) it seems like cancellation fodder to me.

There's a rumor going about that Keiko Agena is up for the Tosh role
in a US remake of Torchwood. Haven't really seen the rumor verified
to my satisfaction, so it sounds like somebody dreamcasting to me.

Matt Czuchry's character on FNL may be upped to a larger size if the
show is renewed or whatever company was doing his pilot "Gravity" seem
to be trying their hardest to get it going yet again.

One possible problem: Lorelai's house has been occupied by Sarah and
John Connor and a hot robot named Cameron for the past ten weeks. But
something tells me that if that show is renewed, Cameron's having a
car bomb explode on her in the vicinity of the house will force the
Connors to run and relocate in s2.

>Is GG as dead as Babbette's cat?

It's more like in cryogenic susension ala Fry in Futurama. When she's
(Fry is a he, Lorelai is a she, just thought I'd remind you.) let out
of the tube, she won't know what the hell is going on, but she'll
enjoy the trip anyway. ;)

Amy Sherman-Palladino wants to do a movie, the cast is up for it IF
she does it -- and ASP herself said in an interview with TV Guide's
Michael Ausiello on the WGA picket line to write to Warner's Peter
Roth. Ausiello also brings the subject up around once per month in
his Ask Ausiello column, which I take as an indicator that he
continues to be in contact with ASP and others on the show who still
want to give it a real ending.

Also, I would argue that the writers' strike so ****ed up this season
of television overall that it could be seen more as the second half of
the 2006-2007 season and that renewing Gg anytime in the near future,
for a movie or a miniseries or whatever would not count as an
uncancellation ala Jericho, it would count as a simple
season-to-season renewal or movie wrap-up. ;)

FTR, write to Peter Roth at:

LORELAI: I am so done with plans. I am never, ever making one again.
It never works. I spend the day obsessing over why it didn't work
and what I could've done differently. I'm analyzing all my shortcomings
when all I really need to be doing is vowing to never, ever make a plan
ever again, which I'm doing now, having once again been the innocent
victim of my own stupid plans. God, I need some coffee.
