Is it possible that ASP had a fantastic idea at the start, 
but Fox in their infinite wisdom mucked around with the 
idea gutted the concept?

I don't consider that a mistake.   My DVR dutifully records the 
show no matter when it is on.   In fact my DVR dutifully records
two shows at the same time.   Even at 4am in the morning.

I have to wonder if the concept started as a GG clone but Fox
mucked around with the idea and insisted on having the sisters
estranged among other bone headed ideas?

Here is a radical thought: maybe she failed to be Lauren Graham
because SHE AIN'T LAUREN GRAHAM?

Maybe this disaster would have occurred no matter who
was in the role?  I'm not sure any actor
on the planet could have saved this disaster.

I doubt even LG could have saved this show from
oblivion.
