Dude, one month away from her 16th birthday -- they were freakin'
rounding! Rounding, rounding, rounding!

A LOT was different in the pilot because they shot it in Vancouver (or
Toronto?) something like 6-7 months before the pilot actually aired
and, well, around 3-4 months (at shortest) before they started even
*filming* episode 2. In between, the show was moved to the Warner
Studio in Burbank and pretty much every location changed
substantially. Even the sitting room in the mansion (with the
fireplace) is much more full in the second episode. They used a local
house in the pilot and recreated the interior and added a *lot* of
decor.

That's what the VCR's fast-forward button and the DVR's skip button
are for.
Actually, better yet, watch them on DVD as ABC Family makes some very
questionable cuts in dialogue in almost every episode. Some scenes
(particularly in seasons 2 and 4) are so hacked up that they don't
make any sense.

LORELAI: I am so done with plans. I am never, ever making one again.
It never works. I spend the day obsessing over why it didn't work
and what I could've done differently. I'm analyzing all my shortcomings
when all I really need to be doing is vowing to never, ever make a plan
ever again, which I'm doing now, having once again been the innocent
victim of my own stupid plans. God, I need some coffee.
