And, come to think of it, Rory stood up to Emily VERY, VERY, VERY well
to Emily when it came to fighting FOR Lorelai about Jason or Luke.
I remember one time in particular, I forget which episode, where Rory
was cold toward Emily all through dinner (a dinner which Lor didn't
attend), and Emily called Rory on it. Rory was pissed off because
something happened between Lorelai and Emily re: Luke (I think it was
when Emily interfered in the relation****p, and Luke stopped seeing Lor
for a while). She ended up blowing up at Emily about how she was
fulfilling her contract/agreement to come to dinner, but there was
NOTHING in said agreement about how Rory was expected to be sun****ne and
roses and a pleasant conversationalist and whatnot. At the end of her
rant, Rory said something like, “Now, we've had dessert. I'll skip the
****t. Goodnight, Grandpa.”
