THAT one I liked. Rory is actually sending a stronger message than
a more direct statement would send.

Rory generally avoids confrontation with Emily, even fairly mild
confrontations (at least on her own behalf). This actually works
reasonably well for Rory most of the time. The night before
starting Yale being one of the exceptions.
