Another thing bothered me -- Lorelai wasn't at dinner because she
was trying to get
together all the things Rory would need at Yale, and Rory never told Emily
that, she just let Emily
rant on about Lor not being there because of "errands" -
"EMILY: Yes, that's why she didn't come, she had to run errands. But
she'll be here next week,
and she's looking forward to it. Isn't that nice?"
One little sentence of explanation is all it would have taken!
