I watched the entire series as it originally aired, and always enjoyed
it for it's outrageous violence and great characters, but it really
got silly in the last several seasons, and I am not even sure if those
who made it were really taking it seriously anymore.  I rewatched the
first season on dvd a few years ago, and was reminded how believable
and straightforward it was before it descended into the ridiculous.
