By Kimberly Nordyke and Nellie Andreeva
Ray Winstone and Jonah Lotan are set to star on HBO's drama pilot
"Last of the Ninth" from David Milch.
"Ninth" is a gritty drama set in 1972 in the New York Police
Department, which is struggling with fiscal problems and allegations
of corruption. The project centers on Joe Dalton (Lotan), a young
Vietnam veteran who joins the NYPD as an undercover cop. There,
veteran detective John Giglio (Winstone) takes him under his wing.
Milch wrote the pilot with Bill Clark; the duo also are executive
producers. Carl Franklin is directing the pilot.
Winstone, who is onscreen in "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the
Crystal Skull," is repped by ICM and Michael Wiggs at London-based
CAM.
Lotan, who next appears in HBO Films' miniseries "Generation Kill," is
repped by Gersh and Luber Roklin.
