I actually voted last month in the primaries. I especially went because
of
a specific surrogate judge****p that's up for grabs this year and
discovered
that that particular election was in a different district. Next time I pay
more attention. So I voted anyway, not much difference between the 2 women
running in my district. However, in the other district it was a battle
between a female attorney that has extensive knowledge of and worked in
the
court system for years and a man who passed the bar a couple of decades
ago,
there's no record of him ever practicing law but he was a city councilman
for a while before his constituency got wise to his crooked ways and got
rid
of him. Unfortunately, he has the backing of some influential people and
won
the democratic primary and now he'll probably become a judge. I'm a tried
and true democrat but if I were eligible to vote in his district I'd vote
republican for whoever was running unless the guy was Hitler reincarnated,
that's how opposed I am to that democrat choice. As it is, I probably
won't
bother to vote in November. Local politics can drive a person to
drink.....and since we have 2 local politicians running for President it's
a
much discussed topic around here.
I plan on hijacking one of my nephews and forcing him to teach me all
there
is to know about my new digital camera (when I get it), I'm having trouble
figuring out the micros on a new fancy schmancy universal remote I bought
a
while back. There are up to 60 steps on each button and I've been having
trouble figuring them out, I must be getting dumber as I get older.
