Despite the title, I did not find this episode particularly
revelatory, at least from a viewer perspective. Flash found out that
his father had been imprisoned in Mongo's Nascent City, but we already
knew that from the first ep. Flash found out that his father was
dead, but we know this is false. Rankol seems to be interfering in
various ways -- setting Flash free, planting the false info about
Flash's dad's alleged death -- which is interesting, but not
revelatory. Ming knows that Barin is interfering, but then, he never
thought Barin was loyal to him. Ming has heard the prophecy of his
failure, but he doesn't believe it, and we viewers have reason to
doubt it, since Rankol was involved.
Mama Gordon leaned in on Dale to keep Flash safe, since she had lost
her husband, and only Flash remained. Predictable character
development, hardly revelatory.
Not much actually happened.
