I also thought it was down a few notches since they finally brought
Jim and Pam together.  That said, even post Jim+Pam, it's still
funnier than most other comedies.

I think the 1-hour eps are really supposed to be two half-hour eps
back to back.  There is usually a big ****ft in focus around the
mid-point, right where the ep change should be.  Perhaps the big
early-season burst of The Office is one mechanism to cope with the
upcoming writers' strike?
