Re: Highlander Character Seminar: Charlie De Salvo in Brothers in Arms

Part 3

                         Questions For Further Study

1)When Duncan invites Charlie to work out in the dojo, Charlie says
he's rusty. Couldn't Charlie have worked out on his own in the
Balkans? Why did Charlie allow himself to get rusty?

2) Charlie goes after Cord with a gun even before he kills Mara. He
only assumes Cord is responsible for his recent casualties. His
assumption turns out to be correct, but what if it wasn't? Do you
think Charlie is capable of killing an innocent man without hearing
him out?

3)When Cord calls Charlie a "brother", was Charlie remembering Carl
Robinson, and how angry he'd been at Carl?

4)If Duncan had told Charlie the truth earlier, do you think Charlie
really could have taken out Cord by shooting and then beheading him,
or do you think beheading is too difficult for Charlie to have done
successfully without practice? Could Cord have revived before Charlie
managed to behead him?

We'll never know if Charlie could have successfully beheaded Cord. We
know that Horton pulled it off, but he probably practiced
extensively.

Next week I'll be posting about Duncan in this episode.
