We've been renovating the house since before I went to Vancouver, and
things have been a complete chaotic mess. Yesterday, I stumbled upon
the package of the copies of "Barricades" I brought back from the
convention and I realized that I had never made them available to
folks who didn't go to the convention.
(For anyone who hasn't heard: the three chapters that I had written
for the last Highlander novel, "Barricades," before I had to give up
the contract for health reasons, were published as a little booklet
and made available at the recent HLWW8 convention in Vancouver.)
If anyone is interested in getting a copy (or six), I'm going to play
this the way we did the extra copies of "Evening at Joes" -- instead
of sending me money, I'd prefer a $5 donation for each copy be made
directly to the Red Cross. http://american.redcross.org/
will give
you a choice of putting the money toward Disaster Relief (I donated
for the Southern California fires, which had endangered some friends
of mine), your local branch or several other designations, or you can
say use it where it will do the most good. If you're not in the US
and would prefer to give to your local Red Cross/Crescent, that's fine
too. Or if you have a beef with the Red Cross and would prefer to
donate elsewhere, that's cool as well.

donation and want me to send you a copy/copies. In exchange for the
donation, I will pay the postage to mail the booklets out.
