Is it time for a COMPLETE relaunch of Highlander?

I went to see "The Mist" last night (disappointing movie, and don't believe

the hype about the shocking ending - you see it coming from a mile away), 
and I noticed the passing resemblance Thomas Jane has to Christopher 
Lambert in this film. And it made me think that he would be an excellent 
choice if they (whoever is making decisions concerning Highlander now) 
decided to completely restart the franchise and return the story to Connor

MacLeod as the central figure.

I think, at this point, with all the missteps of the past few years, they 
need to pull a Star Trek, and get a hot producer to take it over and re-
envision it.
