I can see it remade but no time soon.  It should lie dormant at least
20 years before anyone tries to retell or reinvent it.  At the very
least this would remove much of the bad that is associated with the
Highlander name.  It would be playing to a new generation who doesn't
know of the sins of the past and it would also play to the nostalgia
of any original fans who were still kicking in the old folks home.
Unfortunately the people involved don't seem to want to let things
lie.  It would seem to be their sole means of making a living and they
seem willing to whore it out to who or whatever to make a few more
bucks.  Perhaps it's the pressure from the remaining fans that keep
it going on autopilot?  Are the fans so enamoured of HL that they'd
rather see turd after turd just to get more HL than let it die and
maybe be reborn at a future date with some regained dignity?
