I think its come to the point that Highlander is most definitely
a genuine part of American(if not worldwide) pop culture. I'm
seeing it referenced in so many ways in no uncertain terms.
The most recent being the animated series "American Dad" on
Sunday night. There is a Roswell/E.T. style alien character
name Roger on the show who is always drunken. It's the Xmas
episode and Roger is wearing a green Xmas Sweater with a
snowman head with a blinking red nose on it. They comment
on how they like his new sweater and he replies:
"I know, I totally sniped it off a guy on eBay. I not only
stole his sweater, I stole his holiday spirit and that made
my holiday spirit grow stronger! Because that's how it works
right? Like Highlander? There can be only one. I, I, I've
had like 8 cups of egnogg..and this makes 12!"
I thought it was funny.
