I guess my decision to register as an Independent is because the idea of 
having to declare that I follow a certain party over another ridiculous. 
Personally, the idea of political parties is silly. I don't think they
serve 
a purpose other than to divide people into factions. Each person should 
decide what is important for themselves, not based on what a wide base of 
other people believe. Maybe I'm just displaying my ignorance for the world

to see. I'm okay with that. It wouldn't be the first time.
