I suppose it's too much to ask that those new electronic voting
machines produce any sort of paper trail. If people can't learn to use
the new machines, that's one thing. If the machines can be hacked to
produce an incorrect total with no paper to contradict the hacking ...
it's quite another. Of course, the paper trail can also be hacked. And
exit polls, so it would seem. I remember with some fondness the old
voting machines.
