I just finished reading **GASP** yet another Neil Gaiman book.
Honestly I do occasionally read other writers.  Actually this
book was co-written by Gaiman and Michael Reaves so Nyaaah!!
It's titled "Interworld" and is meant as a young adult
Sci-Fi/Adventure novel.  As with Gaiman's "Coraline" his youth
stuff is as good as if not better than most stuff written for
adults.  It was a very enjoyable and very quick read.  It is
basically the product of the Author's attempts at pitching a
TV series.  It seems they couldn't get the idea across to the
dim-witted TV Execs so they wrote it out in manuscript form
just to find to their dismay that apparently TV Execs don't
read either.  After sitting in a drawer for many a moon they
polished it up and published it as a book.  It reminds me
greatly of Stephen King and Peter Straub's "The Talisman" and
its sequel "The Black House" and also the TV show "Sliders".
It's a real fun ride in any case.
