"Stardust" the novel is a far more complex piece than the movie
version if you haven't read it.  More characters, more story, etc.
As is usually needed it was tailored for the screen but still
pretty faithful in its way.  I personally recommend the original
Charles Vess illustrated version of the book as this is the
way it was intended but the mass market paperbacks are dirt cheap.
Oddly enough I never finished "Good Omens" although I did start
reading it.  I had trouble getting into it in the beginning and
got sidetracked until it got forgotten.  My read through of the
expanded "Author's Preffered Text" version of "American Gods was
forgotten almost halfway though as well.  I dunno what to tell
you is similar to "Good Omens" since I haven't finished it.  I
will say I love alot of his short stories.  I think you'd love
"Chivalry" which is one of the best things hes written and
"The Price" is a moving piece that I dearly love.  Definitely
one for the animal lovers.
