I have terrible news -- Drax passed away yesterday of heart failure at
age 41. . . . Last night his mom called and told me he hadn't been
feeling well for a few weeks, but he didn't let me know because he
didn't want me to worry about him . . .
Could you please let the rest of the Magic Spring folks know,
whoever's still around? If anyone's in the area, there's going to be a
viewing Wednesday 2-5 PM at John J. Healy Funeral Home, 2977 Ocean
Ave., Brooklyn, NY 11235 (718-743-1388), and a mass and funeral
Thursday 10 AM at St. Mark's Catholic Church, 2606 E. 19th St.,
Brooklyn, NY 11235 (718-332-9304) -- I understand the church is pretty
much right across the street from the funeral home. And Drax's real
name was John Caliri.
If anyone wants to send a note directly to his mom, I think it would
mean the world to her to know how loved he was by his online friends:
