Today I was watching a skating show called Progressive Fashion on Ice
on NBC. The singer peforming with the skaters in this one was Sarah
Brightman. Since NBC got the skating contract, I've really loved the
choices of the musical performers in the shows.
Sarah Brightman sang "Who Wants To Live Forever" which I consider
Duncan's psychological theme song. The skaters were Naomi Lang and
Peter Tchernichev, the former U.S. ice dance champions. Naomi Lang is
the only American Indian skating star. Since one of the times "Who
Wants To Live Forever" was played on HL:TS was for the massacre of a
Lakota village, I considered this very appropriate. It was really a
very beautiful and moving number.
