today was milder than it has been for a while - but the rain was
really chucking it down. The football pitch in the park opposite my
house has turned into a loch. Because the air temperature was
officially warmer, the central heating at work had switched off - so

I'm doing my bestest to avoid it all - you wouldn't believe how many
Brits are SO obsessed with the US presidential stuff. Can't avoid it
completely - the news tonight was full of the story of how Barack
Obama turned up at some English guy's stag do - and "made his excuses
and left" when the stripper turned up.
