           Questions For Further Study

1)How does Duncan feel about breaking even at the dojo "around the
time of the second coming"? Does he ever think that buying the dojo
was a mistake?

2)Duncan says the head of the art department asks him to teach a
seminar, but no one in the class appears to be sketching the armor he
brings to class, so it's more likely to be a history seminar. How did
Duncan get hired for the history department when his friend was in the
art department?

3)Where did Duncan get the medieval armor he brought to class?

4)Why does Duncan tell his students that Saracen mares going into heat
prevented a battle during the Crusades? He must have known that
graduate students could check up on his "facts". Is Duncan really
qualified to teach medieval history?

5)Do you agree with Duncan's decision to walk away from Mark Roszca
when he found out that Roszca's girlfriend was pregnant?

6)Why did Duncan go running in a park without his sword when he knew
that Kanis and his dogs were after him?

7)How did Duncan happen to locate the dog breeder that Kanis chose?
Surely there is more than one dog breeder in Seacouver.

8)Based on the events of this episode, do you think that Duncan likes
and respects dogs? Who has more respect for dogs--Duncan or Kanis?

9)Duncan regrets not having bought earthquake insurance after the
damage to the fixer upper as a result of the quickening, but would
earthquake insurance have helped if Duncan couldn't prove that there
was an earthquake in Seacouver that day? What insurance company would
pay out for earthquake damage when there was no earthquake re****ted?
Do you think there's an Immortal who sells quickening insurance to
other Immortals that Duncan could have purchased?

Actually, I think that there is no quickening insurance. It wouldn't
be profitable.

Next time I'll be posting about Richie in this episode, but that
lecture may be delayed a while. I'm attending a Wiccan con next
weekend.
