You strike me as a man of sufficient intelligence to avoid egg salad
sandwiches. Though, perhaps, it took some time to make the connection
between the unpleasantness of the reaction and the foodstuff in
question. I took years to figure out that chocolate is VERY VERY bad
for me, with heart palpitations and severe headaches and depressions.
But sometimes the pleasure is worth the ensuing pain. I hope this is
true for you, as it is for me. Though, I suppose, your discomfiture
may have been caused by the Tennessee Williams play in this instance.
Though I do enjoy the movie Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.
