I quit watching the series after 2 episodes, I think, but ... I can
comment on why a "new" show wouldn't want to follow precisely in the
footsteps of the show it's copying ... which is that the producers of
the "new" show don't want to be accused of following precisely in the
footsteps of the show it's copying. They have to do something
different, even if it's stupid. And won't the woman have to eventually
believe him if he "almost" dies enough times right in front of her
face? Eventually? Even if she has the world's great case of denial and
in fact lives on Denial Street and her name is ... oh you get my
drift. They can have their cake and eat it too. If the show lasts that
long. What I think is missing is a ponytail. I would probably have
kept watching if there were a ponytail.
