If it is in the interest of the plot, she'll be there every single
time he almost dies ... until she is finally convinced and realizes
what a fool she has been all this time. I anticipate a certain amount
of guilt on her part, and some well-concealed smugness on his part. He
might even say, "Well, I coulda shot myself to convince you, but I
thought that was a rather immature and derivative way to prove
myself." And he could call out her name "Tessa!" as they make love ...
or "Amanda!". This would be by way of an inside joke that the actors
won't understand but the writers will be wetting their respective
pants as they exchange high fives all around.
