I had in mind a series about an immortal character who lived through
various ages on Earth who lives through various historical time
periods and engages in various conflicts. So Ulysses Bloodstone
counts, since he fought in various historical conflicts. Also, the
character is not publicly known to be immortal, but must live through
various alternate identities-again, similar to Vandal Savage and
Ulysses Bloodstone.

The gods don't count, since they did not largely live on Earth and did
not dwell on Earth throughout various historical periods. In any
event, the gods did not create various alternate identities down
through history to fly under the radar.
