Um, I didn't recognize most of the landmarks, but I still enjoyed the
movie. Cloverfield is great because of the use of perspective,
flashbacks, the gradual build-up in revealing the monsters, having an
actual coherent plot, and having distinct characters. Basically,
Cloverfield = Blair Witch + Godzilla + plot + characters + budget +
FX.
