Well, sure ... but where did you get all this information? It
certainly wasn't provided as a handout at the theater (a la Dune) or
in a running commentary at the bottom of the screen or even in notes
inside the special de luxe VHS tape I bought way back when ...
including a short segment of actual tape ... A person shouldn't have
to go spelunking years later to find the truth. That's what I think. I
know they didn't have time/resources to put the whole back story in
the film, but then they should also not have made it quite so baffling
for one such as I, who am smarter than the average bear.
