I have a blue pair and 2 pink pairs, and at least 2 of my 4 sisters
also wear them allllll the time. You are correct. With thick socks,
they make excellent slippers, even in winter. I understand that the
treads can get stuck in the treads of escalators and drag you to your
death, so I watch my step very carefully on escalators. I also
understand that some hospitals have outlawed them for medical
personnel because they don't have solid tops ... which has made the
medical personnel quite ... unhappy. Fortunately, there are many
styles available now and I'm sure some of them are suitable for
hospital-type wear.
