Is it just me, or is there one whole scene cut out of episode #1 "The
Informer" on the "Hogan's Heroes" DVD complete first season. I'm on the
second copy that my local DVD store was kind enough to replace, but
there is still one scene gone. After Hogan shows the Informer around
the tunnel, he (Hogan) radios a sub with some instructions, then he
tell Kinchloe to call Sidney Carter, the man who escapes in the
begining so another escapee can come in and be processed. In my old
Columbia House edition, we see Sidney Carter making out with some girl
when Hogan's voice comes over the radio telling him to get back because
"It is a far far better thing that you do then you have ever done
before". We see Hogan kinda shrugging at his lame code as Kincloe looks
on. End of scene. The new release cuts out the the call to Sidney
Carter entirely (except for Hogan telling Kinch to make it. The broad
at Paramount gave me shabby treatment and claims no one else has this
problem, tho they have a hotline set up for the OTHER mistake they made
with the labeling of disc one and two.
So again, is it just me? Has anyone else noticed this?
