It may be that the small print below the large "VERBOTEN" is a bit of
an inside joke.  TV shows do this all the time.  For example, on the
corridor walls of the Federation starship Defiant ("ST:DS9") I once saw
a tiny sign that read:

"Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale, a tale of a fateful trip."
