When I first watched Homicide, years ago, it was on a black-and-white
set in the kitchen. One episode guest-star Charles Durning made a rude
remark about black people and I wondered why Lewis was offended in a
particular emphasis (well, everyone was offended). Turned out Lewis is
black!
But Kellerman is a redhead. This is hard to miss.

I think all of the writers would have to have been aware of the show's
overall mission. No, not every episode is close-reading out the wazoo,
especially the last season where Bayliss is pretty much used up.

Sometimes it's just an allusion like the, uh, joke implied where Beau,
Bolander and Howie get shot because 2B was not 2B.

The posts are for everybody.
