Re: OT: The New TV Season

Hey Todd!

Good to see you're still around trying to breathe some life into the
group.  This is the first TV season in years where I'm actually
finding things I want to watch regularly.  I haven't seen all the new
shows I want to yet (still needing time to see Pu****ng Up Daisies) but
the two new shows I really like are Chuck and Women's Murder Club.
Chuck is the funniest show I've seen in ages.  I love the concept, and
the characters are great.

And for something more on topic - Women's Murder Club is a good cop
show, and even features Kyle Secor as a lawyer that brazenly seduces
the female ADA on the show (right on her office desk).  As I pointed
out to my best friend "looks like he's straight again".  I like the
characters, who so far are pretty realistic.  If they can keep up the
writing, it could last a really long time.

A show I'm disappointed with is Cane.  The concept of a Latino family
drama is innovative (at least for Primetime network TV) and the cast
for the most part is really good.  But there's not much drama or
suspense to keep me tuning in.  The upcoming plot lines don't look
that interesting either.

I'm waiting to see if Viva Laughlin is any good.  I typically don't
like musicals, so we'll see if they can make it work.
