Still trying to like Journeyman - great cast, like that he can
(apparently) only travel within his own past, but am still wondering
how the whole thing works. Sometimes he seems able to leave the past
by choice, other times he can't.
I couldn't stand the ads for Life (the lead reminds me of a smirky
young Bruce Willis, which is off-putting), but on the reccomendation
of some ath:bd-ers, I gave it a shotlast week and it's a lot better
than I'd expected. I so wanted to like Dirty, ***y, Money, but just
couldn't get into it.
Reaper & Chuck are both great. I like Chuck a shade more, but the
shows are a lot a like in some ways: 20-something slackers working in
big box stores (both offered promotion op****tuntities, too), and
leading double lives. But then Reaper has Ray Wise...
I tried to watch Damages but kept forgetting when it was on. And
frankly, I was going through enough manipulative mindgames from some
nutty neighbors (friend? Ally? No! Backstabbing liars!) and really
didn't want to watch something that would make me doubt the veracity
of everything I see and do. LOL.
Can't afford the premium channels, so can't comment on
Californication.
I'd say Pu****ng Daisies is by far my favorite new show. Chuck is
second, Reaper a close third.

I heard the pilot was retooled so much that I should wait for a couple
more episodes to judge it. My judgement? I'd rather see "Psycho Bionic
Woman" since Katee Sackoff is the only cast member who is any fun to
watch. everyone else seems to be taking the show and their characters
way too seriously.
> Private Practice
The dumping ground for lots of good actors with ABC deals that needed
to be filled.
> Caveman (no, I didn't watch it)

Oh yeah. Like Carpoolers.
Big Shots was deplorably bad. Decent enough cast. Craptastic scripts.
Coudn't get into the Gossip Girl characters and lack-of-plot, but
loved Kristin Bell's voice over.
Dirty, ***y, Money is a shallow waste of time, yet lightyears better
than, say, Big Shots. I guess the thing is I so don't have any empathy
or interest in weathly, spoiled characters on some of these shows. And
there are a lot of series lately where we're supposed to care about
wealthy spoiled brats. That said - the DSM scenes that I liked
generally involved Donald sutherland and Peter Krause.
I just mght have to watch Viva Laughlin tonight to see how bad it is.
And because I just can't imagine Lloyed Owen A) doing an American
accent, or B) singing or dancing. To me he'll always be Arhcie's
illegitimate brother on Monarch of the Glen and Jane's religious/
celibate boyfriend on Coupling.
