There was one more restandardization in 1946, but I go with Wiki in
assuming that the older sets still worked normally. 1941 is probably the
most important restandardization because, among whatever other changes,
the sound became frequency modulation, so an FM demodulator would have
to be installed for existing sets to continue to have sound. 

"NTSC" includes those black-and-white standards but refers to color
television: the NTSC was formed in the early 50s when the FCC chose RCA
Compatible Color as "The" system and ordered all the television
companies in US to get together and perfect it.
