There was a good article on Salon.com yesterday about how Rowling
should stop dropping tidbits about the books. It's like she can't let
go, and anything she says dilutes readers' abilities to interpret the
stories. I tend to agree with that sentiment. It's time for her to
move on.
And what's with the reading tour months after the release? I'd much
rather hear Jim Dale read the books than Rowling. But I guess it
satisfies the autograph hounds.
A friend of mine insists she saw the Dumbledore-is-gay clues long ago.
I think she's fooling herself, quite honestly. And since when can't
one be "inflamed" without having gay connotations attached to it? I
mean, I get inflamed every time some jackass parks in the communal
driveway--in front of a No Parking sign, no less!--but that doesn't
make me want to have sex with them.
