Deception

by Laurel Krahn <lakrahn@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jan 16, 2008 at 03:43 PM

I got to feeling nostalgic for this group and the show and all after
finally reading the foreward and afterwards in the latest edition of
The Book (I'm a little behind). Plus, you know, The Wire is awesome.

And, um, I couldn't resist using this subject line to see if any of
you guys are still out there. Yes, that's evil. For all I know some
of you have a certain "D word" killfiled.

I'm still busily posting about TV all the damn time at tvpicks.net
which means I hardly ever get around to looking at newsgroups, mailing
lists, weblogs, etc.

My husband started watching the complete series (HLotS, that is) with
me years ago (he's only seen some episodes, nto all) and was enjoying
it almost as much as I do. We were in sync with our opinions too (He
said "Crosetti would've never killed himself" and got irritated at all
the right things).

Well, our viewing of the complete run of the show stalled during
season six years ago. Gosh, I can't imagine why. We only recently
finished season six. My poor husband actually kinda screamed in pain
and covered his eyes when Falsone sang "If You Think I'm Sexy"-- I'd
blocked that out and forgot to warn him. I've only hinted at hot dogs
and other horrors yet to come in season seven. I'm not sure I have
the heart to start season seven. Maybe if we balance it with a steady
diet of episodes of The Wire, it will be okay. But there are only so
many of those (and we've already seen four from this season).

God, it's great seeing Clark Johnson on screen again. So so awesome.
I kinda bounced around and floated on air after seeing the first
episode of season five.

And now I'm done rambling.
