I am not understanding exactly what you are asking.  You watched the 
first disc of the hour-long Comedy Hour series?

You are asking if who??? cut the "strawberry" segment?  If you viewed 
the first disc, wouldn't your question be answered?

The hour long series was not issued by Columbia House as far as I know.

Could you perhaps explain further?
