Okay. I watched this episode last night. You are right (which I never
doubted), the verbal reference to being allergic to strawberries is
absent from the show. I am quite sure that there "was" such a reference.
The only thing along this line that we see, is Ethel Mae going into the
kitchen, and Mertz, returning to the living room via this same door.
His uniform is covered with strawberry pie!
This show was alright in general, but I never cared for the part about
the paint sprayer. It just didn't seem to fit the rest of the show.
Maybe I am wrong, but wasn't the PTA play scene more lengthy (and
boring) too? I recall there being more to it. Maybe I am thinking of
another show.
P.S. Early in the show Lucy called Fred, "Fritzy boy". Since questions
about the usage of "Fritz" have appeared on this site from time to time,
I thought I would just mention that it occurred in this episode also.
