Ann had a pretty amazing life, living to the ripe old age of 92! Her
career as a performer lasted from her first "bit" role in 1927 to the
"Whales of August" in 1987 for a total of 60 years in the business!
In addition to her numerous movie roles, she also appeared on many TV
series and TV movies. Most fans realize that she starred in the
series, "Private Secretay" for 104 episodes. She also provided the
voice for the squad car on the series, "My Mother The Car". Even
before those early TV days, Ann starred on a popular radio series
titled, "The Adventures of Maisie" in which her character was very
similar to the one she played later on "Private Secretary". And, of
course, we Lucy fans remember her from her six appearances on "The
Lucy Show" and her one appearance on the "Lucy/Desi Comedy Hour".
