I was looking at the Internet Movie Data Base and searched the television
series Dennis The Menace. Dennis was the show that Gale Gordon appeared
on
as Mr. Wilson just prior to his joining the Lucy Show. I noticed that on
Dennis The Menace there was a police officer played by actor George Cisar.
The officer's name was Sargeant Theodore Mooney. I guess the Lucy Show
was
giving a nod to Gale Gordon's former series by giving his new character
the
same name.
