Why did I expect a level of intelligence that was incapable of discussing
the facts?

Because the thread is crossposted to a bunch of TV-zombie / couch potatoes
who are living on the existance of fantasy and propaganda, and don't know
any
better than to disbelieve what doesn't fit in their little closed worlds
