"Catherine Bell Joins Up with 'Army Wives' Pilot

Former "JAG" star Catherine Bell has been tapped to star opposite Kim
Delaney in Lifetime's drama pilot "Army Wives."
Written by Katherine Fugate, "Wives" is an ensemble drama about a sassy
woman (Sally Pressman) from the wrong side of the tracks who marries a
soldier, moves her kids to a military base and becomes friends with a
diverse group of Army wives, three of them played by Bell, Delaney and
Brigid Brannagh.
In a departure from the headstrong [Lt. Col Sarah MacKenzie] she
portrayed on CBS' "JAG," on "Army Wives" Bell will play the wife of a
major -- a devoted homemaker who is enduring physical abuse at the
hands of her teenage son.
Touchstone TV is producing the pilot with studio-based Mark Gordon
Prods.
Bell, who co-starred in CBS' drama pilot "Company Town" this past
development season, is repped by the Gersh Agency."
-- I find it hard to believe Bell could play a housewife being beat-up
by her own son. She could probably beat up more than half the guys in
this country without really trying...based on physical ability alone...
