In self-defense, you might consider getting a newsreader that allows
you to automatically delete messages crossposted to particular
newsgroups.  That would solve your problem, as it has mine.  I've also
foudn it useful in other newsgroups.

I presume what's been going on here will all blow over soon, though. 
This kind of thing usually does.
