I've been lurking here for a while, and I like the show and I've seen
almost
every episode to date. However, I agree with the sentiments that it's
come
down a few notches this season. Well, last week's show reached a nadir:
the
fast national Nielsen rating was a series-low 4.8, and it was beaten
head-to-head by ABC's "8 Simple Rules" (another show I watch regularly in
spite of its decline this season) for the first time since 8SR moved to
Friday. In fact, this is the first time a new episode of JoA has ever
ranked third or lower in the 8:00 Friday time slot. I'm starting to think
this is not going to be a good sign when CBS unveils its fall schedule in
May. In fact, just now I'm starting to think that with JoA sinking and
Amber Tamblyn griping, "JAG" having downsized its central star, and
"NUMB3RS" also declining with NBC's "Law & Order: Trail by Jury" waiting
in
the wings, a complete revamp of Friday may not be out of the question.
Let's hope for the best.
Back to lurking.
